Sal ArmaoFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 3, 2014, Garden City, NY

The professionals at Armao LLP are pleased to announce that the firm’s managing partner and founder, Salvatore J. Armao, CPA/PFS, CFP, CFE, CGMA, will receive a Long Island Business News (LIBN) “Outstanding CEO” award at a gala being held on May 15, 2014 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.

The Outstanding CEO Awards recognize the business and not-for-profit executives who have consistently demonstrated remarkable leadership skills, integrity, values, vision and a commitment to excellence, financial performance, community and diversity. Awardees were selected based on the biographical information and testimonial letters sent to LIBN reflecting career and professional accomplishments and follow up research on each company Web site. Sal will be among those featured in special LIBN print and web-based sections commemorating the awards.

Armao states, “I am both surprised and honored to have been selected to receive this prestigious award. Being a successful executive is not achieved alone or in a vacuum. I have an extraordinary team of professionals at my firm – they’ve been with me for many years – who have made Armao LLP a thriving enterprise. I have them to thank, not only for nominating me, but for turning my aspirations into reality.”

AN EXCERPT FROM SAL’S NOMINATION

What makes Sal an outstanding CEO is more than providing opportunities and professional/personal support:

•He is a visionary who is not afraid to take risks. Just this past July, Sal demerged from Armao, Costa & Ricciardi, CPAs, P.C. to form Armao LLP. This move, after 18 years in the former partnership, was not without the possibility of an uncertain road ahead.  Yet, as Sal knew through careful planning and due diligence, it has proved to be an excellent move for the future of the firm.
•He is not a micro-manager; he has built a foundation of strength. Sal surrounds himself with competent people whom he can trust to make independent decisions that will benefit the firm. This is not to say that he runs a “closed door” operation…
•…He is always accessible, whether he’s in his office (situated in the midst of everyone in the firm), at a conference , en route to a client…Sal is never more than a phone call, text or email away to brainstorm or give well-considered advice.
•He knows his business and the businesses of his clients inside and out. Ask Sal a question and you receive an answer without hesitation.
•His clients are king. This is evidenced by the long relationships he had developed, maintained and negotiated to create win/win situations. A relationship with Sal is one of trust and meeting mutual goals.
